For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: Website says you can reserve a site “at least” 30 days in advance. Office tells you that you can only reserve within 30 days or less of your arrival. Our second time staying. Tried to get a FHU but no luck. If you end up with a w/e site they have tote tanks at the dump station you can use to empty your holding tanks. Rules state that you can’t leave items laying around your site and there’s a specific list. Multiple sites appear as though people have made them their residence: Amazon boxes, 60G+ propane tanks, general clutter, etc.. There are 2 bath houses. My son refused to use the main bath house stating it was “filthy with stuff all over the floor”. The other bath house was acceptable at best. Doesn’t appear they get cleaned very often. Getting into our site was a slight challenge. We were assigned #8. Had to pull my 41’ fifth wheel between 2 trees and make it a pull-through, which it isn’t. The electric post at our site literally fell apart. The breaker panel cover screws/rivets had corroded and fallen off so the cover wasn’t held on by anything except friction. The camp itself is unsecured. It appeared (I can’t verify) that non-campers were using the facilities as random vehicles would come in, park, people would get out and randomly walk to different points in the camp including a pavilion that seemed to be the camp junk shack, stay for a couple hours then leave, only to show up the next day or a couple days later. We weren’t there for the campground itself, we there there to take several day trips, so the amenities weren’t a big deal. The camp sits adjacent to an active runway (right against the fence). Yes, there is aircraft noise. No, I don’t care about that. We knew what we were getting into. As long as you don’t plan on using the camp for entertainment you won’t be disappointed. It is a no frills place to park your trailer, motor home or tent. Just don’t be surprised by the Sanford & Son appearance of some of the sites.

For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: The person managing the camp site is amazing and very helpful. Stay away from the camp sites in the tree covered area (water and electricity only). Best area is the full hook up sites. Good WiFi in the community building but poor in the camp sites. The laundry, bathrooms and showers are dated and not cleaned regularly or well maintained. The dump site is in a poor location (entrance to office) and the sewer dump connection is too high. Average FamCamp, could be much better if the AFB commander got involved.

For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: The laundry room is on serious need of updating and the bathrooms were dirty and had mold. We stayed here for quite a few days and never saw anyone cleaning anything . I swept the laundromat floor both times we used it. The campgrounds have a lot of room between campsites.

For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: While we were there they had a pole get hit and knocked out the transformer to the park at about 000 in the morning didn’t get back on until about 0900. Tha incident knocked out my inverter. I told them there and they gave me a card from their suggested RV repair guy however there was no answer when i called. One of the other campers suggested a place up the road in Merrimack and when I drove there they told me that they could not help out either they were back logged for a month. My suggestion is two nights noe more and make sure you have two surg persecutors

For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: Nice clean campground. Staff is great. Very nice. Grounds are kept clean and maintained. The reason I gave 4 stars ⭐️ is the sites are a little to close for our liking. But other than that nice facilities

Lora
For Hanscom AFB FamCamp: We’ve stayed for weeks at a time here and love it. It is literally parallel to the airstrip so very noisy but nice to watch the occasional jumbo jets roll in. Close to Minute Man Trail, quiet quaint neighborhood with cute ice cream shop small stores and other interesting places. Close to everything in Boston but far enough to feel removed.
