For Tom Sawyers RV Park: Nice spacious site. Offered the option to pull in so we faced river.
So worth the minor trouble of running lines underneath.
Made sure we knew freezings and to protect water.
Picturesque setting. Amazing watching these huge tows go by 24/7.
Rate average. Would stay again. SO MUCH to do in area.
I rented a bike and rode the big gap bridge.

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: Found ourselves in Memphis area and extended our stay from 1 day to 4! Beautiful clean park with a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River. We were literally 100 foot from the river! The bath / laundry house was heated and cooled.
Trash - Just leave it at the front of your site.
Laundry - Machines are free! And area was clean.
Bath - Clean and private bath/shower.
I’d recommend for anyone passing by. I’ll be back!

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: We would definitely recommend this campground when your in the area. It’s off the highway enough to feel you are camping out of the city, but close enough to get back on the interstate within minutes.
The campground’s main attraction is the river traffic on the Mississippi River. Multiple benches are set up along the riverbank for you to relax and watch life float by. For those that don’t typically like to hear Diesel engines, the tugs pushing the barge traffic can be heard lumbering by. We thought that the rumbling of the boats were quint and enjoyed the experience.
The bathroom facilities were nice, they offer free use of their laundry and dryer facilities and the sites are spacious. The nightly rate is a bit high for the “amenities†but you are paying for the location by the river.

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: campground is very convienant to downtown Memphis. Also very easy to get ot from freeway dispite some reviews. Its a rather large property with equally sized spots. We were ffered a spot on the river due to a cancellation, but decided to saty in ours and turned out great. Mostly trancients with a few long termers. No ammenities to speak of. We stayed for 5 days in a 38' fifth wheel.

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: Stay near the water, not near the trees. We booked a site near the trees because my wife like shade. However this is the area where construction workers live, and the sites are not well maintained. We HS 1/2†of mud covering the site including where the picnic table was. Pass this place by if the trees are your only option. Not even worth the Good Sams rate.

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: Park is nice, beautiful views of Mississippi River in most spots. Easy check in, huge pull through spots and free laundry. Note: follow directions when they email you confirmation, do NOT rely on your GPS! Also, be forewarned, roads are very dusty and your rig will get dirty coming in and going out. We would definitely stay here again.

For Tom Sawyers RV Park: Very friendly staff, great view of the river even when not in the most “prime†row of sites. The area driving in from the west looked industrial and a little sketchy but the park itself was secluded and very quiet. Free laundry though we didn’t check it out. No trees but the lots were level 👠Easy access to I-40 for day trips into the city.
