For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Wonderful small family owned campground since 1972. Had a great overnight stay on our way to Florida. A single occupancy bathroom and shower for each gender. Owner came up to tell us goodbye on her way to feed the burros, one of which went nose to nose with our small min pin. Relaxing stay. Would stay again if in the area.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Nice small family owned campground conveniently located to the interstate and shopping. Very friendly owners and guests. Great for a one night stay on the way up north.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Was glad to find this place at this point in our trip. $30 was OK for a bare-bones hook up. There is a pleasant view from our coach facing east with a mirror smooth lake. If it’s summer, it would be good to bring the Off. But with a little spritz and an evening breeze kicking up we’re enjoying ourselves. We will definitely stop by on your way north to any of the sites that we like to go to on the East Coast. The owners are very friendly.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: If you just want a quiet place to spend a night or two this is perfect. No frills, no stress, no filling out of forms, just put the money in the cash box. We stayed here to visit Conagree NP.
We didnt need their restrooms and we didnt need any amenities so we enjoyed our stay. A little pricy at $30 cash but we knew the price before we arrived. It IS grass so it takes a few minutes to level, but we got it done, in our truck camper.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Very quiet, no frills campground run by a family who live on site. Plenty of room for our 40 ft motor home with tow. You park on grass so may be difficult to level. There is a small bathroom with a shower and a place to dump sewage. You're parked next to the lake where you can go fishing or swimming in. We only stayed for one night on our way back home up north but will keep this gem on our radar for future travels. If you're looking for a resort type of place with fancy amenities, I'd say keep looking to find what you want. But if you don't need more than a hook up for electricity and water and enjoy peace and quiet with plenty of outdoor space then check out this place. Also, it's cash only but there is an atm at a gas station about 5 min from the campground.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Actually, we loved it! Quick overnight on way North. Yeah its not Level, grass sites, yeah the bathhouse is unkempt & in poor shape (but we don't use them anyway wish the $30 included sewer hookup but there is a dump station.) But, so peaceful! Beautiful lake & with beautiful sunrise! We parked near the mule barn (two mules & a colt, cute!) made for some nice pix of our rig. Took a lot of pix here. We'll probably come back.

For Sweetwater Lake Campground: Other reviews say it all.
An uneven piece of an old hay field.
Bathrooms are horrid.
Men's room a mess.
Beat Parking someplace and running
generator all night.
Local community Orangeburg is rated as one of the highest violent crime rate in US.
$30 is high for what your getting, IMO.
