For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Continue decline of services & safety, year after year. Now, more limited hours at office, go direct to campsite instead of office checkin, reduced staff, & homeless in tent camping - theft on the rise. Won’t be returning!

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: We love this campground and national park. The bathroom cleanliness has gone down since last time we were there. Dirty and only 1 of the 4 showers at our bathroom had a towel rack to hang your clothes while you shower. Great trails to bike to fort. Sites are tight together but we lucked out and the week we were there there was no one on one side of us. Lots of beaches to explore. Seafood chowder at flounders is amazing.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: A great national park.the Beach was fabulous and hiking was great. Fort was very interesting. The campsites were good size and well maintained. Bathrooms were good and the camp hosts were great. Just remember is is a way back in so bring what you need.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Stayed May of 2021. 30’ trailer was tight, tight. Site 4, water and electric only, level concrete , full sun. But, sugar sand, if you love sitting on a quiet national treasure of a beach, you have to go. $20/night to see some of the best Florida has to offer.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: March 6-9, 2022 Trailer 22 ft Airstream. Beautiful beaches and the historic fort was impressive. Staff were helpful and courteous. Sites are short so we had to park our truck in the overflow area but not a big deal. The E loop dump station requires repairs as there was no cover on the dump portal.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Stayed at site A040 with our 30 ft Class C. The site was clean and not a far walk to the beach. However the boardwalk to the beach was in bad condition and in need of repairs. A good portion portion of the board walk unusable and not safe, so be prepared for that taking stuff to the beach. We did not use the bath house as there was often a long line to get in and with COVID we were not interested in be packed in around people. No sewer hook up at the campsite either, so had to be Spartan with water usage as to not exceed the limits of our holding tanks during our three day stay. The camp site was paved but not level. The electrical power and water connection were in good operating condition. Note on Loop A there are low hanging tree limbs. The road is narrow and vehicles are parked right on the edge. It can make backing a RV into some sites difficult. The park is nice, great for bird watchers. The fort is a large complex and interesting. There are unpaved bike trails. Do note it is crush & run gravel with crushed oyster shells. We have several flat tires. The beach is beautiful and vast so we never felt crowded in. Do be prepared to pay an additional $25 entry fee not included in campground reservation fees. To bike out of the park may involve another lower cost entry fee. This is due to this is a National Park with a lot of demanding upkeep as it is often flooded by the gulf. The national park staff is helpful and friendly. The park store was closed due to COVID. Only one dump station was in operation, so plan queuing up in line to use it.

For Fort Pickens - Gulf Islands National Seashore: Will never be able to camp here again. Class A, C, and 5th wheels are banned from the Campgrounds. New Rules posted for 2022. BE ADVISED: Effective January 2022, MAXIMUM COMBINED RV AND VEHICLE LENGTH will be 32' and MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS 12'. Length restriction includes ALL vehicles; truck and trailer or motorhome and car. Campers will be REQUIRED to present RV Registration. Since many RV's are over 12' tall, combined length longer than 32 with tow vehicle.
