For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: Stayed here 4/23/22 -4/30/22 On-site amenities were as described sites are tight but that’s beach camping 101. Got ice cream on site and it was basically chocolate milk even though it was 68deg outside . Location was good. Main issue we had here was that it’s basically a retirement community … most of the people are very nice but we felt very young and outnumbered “I’m 37 wife is 27 son is 7”. Most of the sites went dormant by 8pm. We camped 4 sites back from the beach entrance. We had a good time but I did have one confrontation with an older gentleman because my son was riding his bike down the road and he was holding up traffic, I was with him and the gentleman thought it necessary to speak to me about keeping my child out of the road… this place is advertised as a family friendly rv resort and there are signs stating to watch out for children at play. In all the parks we have camped at this is the only one where we have ever had an issue being on bikes and having someone complain about our presence on the roadways. For what it’s worth these are dirt roads with a 10 mph speed limit. Although most of the folks are nice we felt like our presence was an inconvenience to the regular population of people 65 and older. If we come back down to camp again it’ll be someplace else. Nice park if you are not a young family looking to have a good time and be active… we also had an issue with a park wide water outage that the park had scheduled for maintenance but didn’t let anyone know. It was short maybe 4 hrs but inconvenient regardless. Had we known we would have filled our fresh tank prior to the outage..

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: We were in a 40’ 5’er. toy hauler with our Harley,.... more about that later. A well run enormous campground right on the beach. Very nice amenities, shop, laundromat, pool & bathhouses. The beachfront sites are pull through full hookup of decent size for big rigs. The sites are mostly just compacted beach sand, with a little grass/weeds with no shade other than a wooden shelter and picnic table on every site. It gets a little “messy and miserable” during rainstorms, high tides and storm surges. Suggestion, put some concrete pads on the sites! There are many non-beachfront sites that are shaded, but also sand/dirt. RV park is pricy, well above my $55 benchmark. Here you are paying for beachfront camping. Now to our Harley, they do not allow motorcycles in the park! However, they do allow 15/20 + year old campers and RV’s that look like they have been dragged backwards through a fence,.... but not my Harley! Motorcycles have dedicated parking outside the park by the office. Where my Harley is not welcome, I will not go back too.

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: We loved this place! It was our first stay in a resort like this and we weren’t disappointed. Sure it’s a bit pricey, but totally affordable for a couple of nights. We had lots of neighbors in our full-hookup area, but the spaces still felt laid out nice and semi private. The bathrooms and showers were always clean and stocked, and the pool area was equally well-attended. We enjoyed splashing around in the play area, tried the lazy river and the indoor heated pool. The accessibility to the beach was awesome — we took walks in the evening and runs in the morning. Beer in the camp store was a tad expensive. There was a bunch of Halloween activities going on the weekend we were there - trick or treating for the kids, a pet costume contest but it was always peaceful and we got good sleep. The place is huge, lots of full-timers but again, very well laid out. We’ll absolutely be back! Only 2 bummers were the fact that when it rained, our site got soaked. And its all sand and dirt. So wet sand=wet sandy RV floor. I would have loved to seen concrete pads, but you can’t always get what you want! And the WIFI sucks. Don’t count on it. Super spotty from our site. The free cable was great though.

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: Fantastic park. We had a premier spot right on the lake with beautiful views and even a mallard duck family and turtles entertaining us. Extremely nice bathrooms —bright blue and green and white tile. And if anything the water pressure was Too powerful-hard to keep the shower curtain down! Very nice people and great pool with a “river” to float around. They provide the oversized tubes too. We’d make this a regular spot! A bit too windy a couple of days but that’s just weather.

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: Beautiful park. It has everything you could possibly want. Sun, shade, villas, rentals. Beautiful pool and access to the ocean. We stayed for 5 days and had a site overlooking the lake in the shade. Bathrooms were spotless with plenty of showers. While it was more expensive than most of our camping ventures, it was well worth it. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

Marvin And Sheila

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: Nice Park! My Wife and I have stayed here several times over the past few years. We were always very impressed at how well they kept the place up, yes.... they were getting a little dated, but always very clean bathhouses and so forth. This most recent trip (4-23 thru 4-30-2019) we were informed, they are now under the guidance of a new General Manager. And they have been working hard to upgrade the whole campground. We were very impressed with the landscaping, they’ve added small storage buildings to there brand new 35 foot rental campers, they now have paddle boats on the lake (that’s loaded with fish)... it has a nice laundromat, and nice General store, indoor, and outdoor pools, activities for the kids EVERYDAY. It’s located close to anything you may desire to do or buy while in the Myrtle Beach area! But the price factor could come into play for many folks. They are not cheap it costed us $68 dollars a night, and it’s still off season. But the price is much higher during peak season. Super nice park to take the family on vacation, with lots to do once you arrive, but be prepared to pay for the experience. Oh I also wanted to say, the choice is yours, but I always choose to stay in the shaded area of the park, because the sites they call the “Beach End of the park”, are packed together like sardines in a can (they are really tight spots). Safe Travels Y’all, from Me & She here in NC!

Seasoned Campers

For Myrtle Beach Travel Park: We have enjoyed our stay at this campground. Bathrooms are adequate but not updated. Beach access is great and able to collect shells if desired. They have a far rental cost in March of $43 per night that includes electric, water(ok pressure)sewer, digital Cable TV with 60 channels and poor WIFI. Sites are mostly level and hard packed sand. Not much grass mostly sand. Have security and the gate closes at midnight and reopens at 7am for security. Close to grocery and restaurants. People are friendly and willing to help. Easy pull through sites and from Oct 1-Apr 1 there are many that rent for the 6 month period and are very friendly to the people coming and going. We would stay here again.
