For KOA Holiday Charleston: KOA entrance is connected to a mobile home park. Staff was friendly. Our site was gravel and leveled and we were facing away from the mobile park. Area around the park, not much to see but close to I-70.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: We stayed here one night. Like other reviewers said this park is old and badly in need of maintenance. The sites are just dirt and not swept or cleaned in a long time. The park is just off US 17 so there’s a lot of road noise the staff were friendly but I still would not likely come back here.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: This is an old campground. Some sites are paved summer not. Sites are very close together and the sewer connections. Need some work for sure. The staff was not very friendly We’re right here The grass on my site was in need of a good mow which they finally got around to after a few days. I would not stay here again.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: It’s funny seeing other reviews that say this appears to be a long term KOA. They don’t have monthly rates! And they claim that other campgrounds do this as well, but we’ve been all over the USA several times and love staying at KOAs and have yet to be charged a weekly rate for the month. This is the first place and the price is astronomical. Seeing as we’re paying so much, you’d think they’d mow your site more than once every 1 1/2-2 weeks. And it’d be nice not to worry about getting ticks when you empty your black water bc they also don’t weed eat AT ALL. And when they do mow, they don’t even move the picnic table… so the grass under it is as tall as the table. Things like this are infuriating when they scalp every dollar off you for pets and for daring to have children. At least set up a weekly schedule so you know when they *might* mow so you can have your things out of the way and can move your car. Seriously awful management here. With just a few minor changes, they could greatly improve this campground. In the meantime, go elsewhere if you have the option. Unfortunately, we don’t.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: BEWARE, Run down, over grown hedges and grass. Red ant piles everywhere. Tight spaces, live ins all over. Unkept.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Our site is disgusting. Upon arrival I picked up no less than 20 piles of dog poop and an entire grocery bag of trash. There was trash in the fire pit as well. When we walk we see piles of dog poop that you have to avoid. We have a dog and pick up everything he produces. I don’t understand why anyone would think it’s okay to leave dog poop. It’s disgusting and unsanitary. We can’t even sit outside because it smells like...you guessed it...dog poop. We did not mention it to the office because we don’t want to move after getting set up. We leave in a few days and will never be back. I’m also convinced the glowing review included on this page is for the other Charleston KOA location (Mount Pleasant KOA Charleston) as the review does not match our experience/price point.

For KOA Holiday Charleston: Best KOA we have stayed in so far. They received an extra star just for the staff. They were very helpful accommodating and responsive to concerns. Most sites are pretty close together but for KOA they are above average. Campground is well kept we had 50amp water sewer and cable. They have a swimming pool and garbage service at your rig. Enough room to maneuver big rigs. Pricey at a little over $70 a night with 10% discount. I'm not sure how that compares for the area.
