For Black Mesa State Park: Amazing remote campground with nice facilities in the OK panhandle. If you happen to be coming from Colorado, and don't mind bumpy and dusty, do yourself a favor and take the back way in: from Campo: W on CR24, S on CRJ, W on CRG, S on CR8 across the border. When you hit a T, go south. This road will take you to 325 via a beautiful ranch and cuts across a small part of the Black Mesa Nature Preserve to 325. W is Kenton, E to Rd D0073 and into the park. It's a good drive to anything but it's a really peaceful place. You can climb the hills and see for miles. Night skies are beautiful as long as you can get away from the camp's few lights. Playground needs some work, but still very usable. Lots of fun trails and nice river access. Verizon - no signal AT&T - 2 bars, 6Mbps

For Black Mesa State Park: We would stay here again. Very much off the beaten path, but a gem of a place if you appreciate
beautiful views, utter quiet, and enough darkness to appreciate the night sky.
Comfort stations were old, but well maintained.
A senior discount makes for a $20 campsite, with water and electric.

For Black Mesa State Park: This is a really nice place. The night sky is a sight to see. A group has a star party near by. Nice hiking trail. Beautiful scenery.

Phil

For Black Mesa State Park: If you happen to find yourself in this remote part of the country don't hesitate to make a B-line for this park. Clean and very well maintained with some very intresting landscapes. We only spent one night but could easily of stayed for more. A really nice park in the middle of nowhere.
