For Holloman AFB FamCamp: Commercial gate is closed on weekend, and not normally used by non commercial vehicles. I used main gate which has S-turns approaching, but it was all wide enough to navigate my 26 ft Winnebago with my suv in tow. Watch that your mirror doesn't take out the camera mounted on concrete pillar.
Once you turn left, there are signs to famcamp. The third row of sites didn't have covers over picnic tables, nor concrete pad, but was level. Host wasn't available, but found pay envelopes and drop box in laundry room. Couldn't find code for wifi. Price still not bad for elect, water, sewer, and showers. Occasional road noise. $20/night, or $120/week, or $500/mo. Brochure also says dry camp (tent or RV) for $3, which includes restrooms, showers, & coin-operated laundry.

For Holloman AFB FamCamp: We were worried going through the main gate because of previous reviews, but had no trouble in our 32 ft long 8 ft wide travel trailer. We estimate the entrance with the cement pillars to be 9ft wide given how much we had on each side as we entered. The park itself is simple but nice. The base has great amenities including a BX, commissary, auto skills shop, movie theater, bowling alley and gas station. 4 stars because of traffic noise from highway, no area for dogs (all dirt and gravel), and camp host was not helpful, had to drive to recreation office to pay.

AAC
For Holloman AFB FamCamp: No trouble at all coming through the commercial gate. Quiet park (other than highway noise) not a lot going on. We had a full hook up with a nice level concrete pad.

For Holloman AFB FamCamp: We enjoyed the area but we won't be back. The main gate is way too narrow and there are a lot of scrapes and paint showing many colors on the concrete barriers. We came in on a Sunday so we didn't check to see if we could enter through the commercial gate but it seems unlikely according to another post. The guard at the main gate was very helpful as we inched through the tight opening which was important since you can't see the barrier from the driver's seat.

For Holloman AFB FamCamp: Cable and wifi do not work. Costs $500/month. Facilities are clean. Standard government operation.

Boerne6
For Holloman AFB FamCamp: The site was large and close to Whote Sands which was important. The laundry and restroom facilities were clean. The wifi was hit or miss. The park could use some landscaping/or sprucing up to make it better.

Tj
For Holloman AFB FamCamp: After entering the commercial gate as advised above, I was politely read the riot act by the pretty airman (airwoman?). She said entry was only for commercial traffic and I was not to enter that gate in the future. I explained the narrow entry at the main gate but she said they would guide me through if necessary but I was still to enter at the main gate. FWIW.
