For KOA Holiday Asheville East: This is a wonderful location if you have kids or pets and want to be able to feel at home in a beautiful location. The kids can swim, play corn in the hole, rent bikes, play in the creek or on the playgrounds, my kids loved it!
The people who work here were also extremely friendly. We asked to have a spot by the creek, but the open spot ended up being a little too rather tight, so my wife asked for another spot by the playground. The gentleman who guided is to the site in his golf cart was very good natured and so were the ladies who worked up front. They didn't make us feel bad at all for being difficult and assigned us to another great spot that we loved. We'll definitely stop here again when passing through.

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Trailers are packed in very tightly, and the site we had in section B was so narrow that our awning almost touched our neighbor's rig. On top of that, the site was unkept, with a pile of cigarette butts left on the ground. Would definitely not stay here again, especially considering the KOA price. This is the sort of park that gives KOA a bad reputation.

Fishman
For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Campground in a nice location for visiting the mountains. Packed too many RVs into one campground. Site 2b. My awning was within 2-3 ft of 3b. Low volume of water. Water pressure with no demand was 40psi but turn any faucet and and had very low flow. Ask staff to check it and it took three days to have anyone check it. If you don't like train whistles several times in the early morning don't stay here.

John Garth
For KOA Holiday Asheville East: This was one of the best KOAs we have stayed at. Just stopped for an overnighter so did not use all the amenities which is why we only gave a 4 star rating.
Lots of spaces, beautiful campground with two lakes and a river running through it. Took a walk the night we were there and loved the grounds. Staff was also very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely consider using this KOA again especially if for a longer stay while visiting Asheville. If planning a longer stay, we would recommend requesting a spot along the river or lake for great views.

Jen
For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Overpriced. RV's were packed in like sardines, and there is loud train that seems to go by every hour on the hour. The staff was nice.

Camping Dog
For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Camp-site nice and people are friend - received 2 stars because of loud train that runs ever hour or so and blows the whistle all night. If you can sleep through it, this place is a winner. Train prevents restful sleep. Fyi

For KOA Holiday Asheville East: Staff is very friendly and we have never had trouble finding an open tent site. Store had all normal koa site store supplies if you run thin. Plenty of waterfront sites with electric and water per site. All in all, great experience and we will be back!
