For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: It is a nice place but I have to give it a low rating because of how rude and unfriendly the office satff is. we have been here at least ten times since 2010 and most of the staff is okay( not great just okay) but one lady is rufe to everyone..She will try and talk over you. Get loud, and try to make it seem like you don't know what you are yalking about when she doesn't have a clue. This week she was convinced that we had to have two spaces becauae of out slide out on our RV. We have stayed here 3 other tines with the same *RV and twice on the space in qiestion. She is not a happy person thats for sure, evwn after she saw we had plenty of room on the spot we got. We like this spot but are considering going somewhere else next time, because complaining about(for at least 2 yrars) has accomplished a thing

For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: We camped here last week (22-25 July 2013) and had a blast! We didn't realize how much there is to do. They just got stand up paddle boards the day before we left. We had so much fun that this will probably be our annual vacation spot. Other than deer hitting the feeder all night long and being invaded by raccoons (we stayed un tents), it was an awesome vacation! Next year, we plan to rent a cottage and stay a week. Btw, they're tearing down the old cottages and building new ones.
The activities that the rec center offer are pretty great! We can't wait to go back!
