For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: Very nice campground, sites in the first section are spacious and wide. Close to public beach access points, one North and one South of campground entrance (walking distance). Facilities were clean and maintained. Our site had a Cable TV box with cord (male end), in the guest policies sheet it mentions being able to get a Cable Box at the Reception Center if interested. Staff was courteous and polite.

Awkward getting in some sites.
Lots of dog poo everywhere.
WiFi not useable, no signal.
Sand burrs everywhere, dog would get one in his paw about every 30’.
Else nice place, quiet.

For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: Great RV Sites, very close to the beach, and the river.
Laundry great two locations. Bath houses very clean. They need to upgrade their WIFI was very weak. Overall great place.

For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: Nice campground with large sites. Whoever laid out the sites originally must have been drinking. To get backed in to some sites, it’s at the wrong angle. Some sites have the hookup features on the wrong side. The staff was helpful allowing us to set up and disconnect prior to coming to the office.if you don’t, there is plenty of room to turn around at the office.

For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: This is a nice area and a great campground , it could use some updates , such as water ,sewer and 30,50amp sites, the dump station also could use some work. The campground and personal are awesome! There is great sites with plenty of room and some amenities right on site, such as a small restaurant open Thursday-Sunday evenings for fried seafood dinners. Reasonably priced for the portions , worth checking out after a day at the beach and your not wanting to cook. The camp store could use more food items that you might forget, but they carry some items you can rent and use during your stay you might have forgotten . Overall it’s a great place to visit! Thanks to the team there for such a wonderful vacation for my family and myself , we were there for three weeks and took it all in.

For Fort Fisher Air Force Recreation Area: Dirty bathrooms. There was poop on the floor of the Womens restroom (the one with 2 showers) for at least 3 days even though staff knew about it. The barking dogs in the kennel behind the office and slamming doors in the parking lot (park is open to public) kept me awake. water hook up was on other side of bathroom a about 60 ft away at one lot so we moved to the loud site. The proximity to water was great though. And the price was cheap. Wifi was good the first two nights.
