For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Beautiful woodsy sites; mixed blessing if you need solar ! Bathrooms clean, but no showers. Lots of tent campers. Great hiking right from the campground! Very bad Verizon signal. In fact it was difficult in the whole area to get good internet access, which the NPS requires for Cadillac Mountain. :( I had a 16 foot trailer. Anything larger would have been difficult. I would go vac with the right expectation.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: This campground is just ok. Sites are narrow and very off level so bring blocks if you have an RV, even if you have levelers. No electric, no showers, no day light. Not much screening between sites. It is in the park but you still need to drive everywhere or walk to campground entrance to catch the free bus, which is nice to ride.not close to any hiking pr bike trails so it takes some work to get to them on foot/roads. We also stayed at Schoodic across the bay with gorgeous private sites. On our next trip we will likely make that our base and take that free bus to the ferry and ride across the harbor on the ferry to visit the main part of Acadia.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Convenient location within the park. 24 hour coin operated showers available nearby. Sites are large - most tent sites have large boulders between driveway and rest of site which prevent vehicles larger than 15’ from using the site. We have a 22’ Class B. The registration office gave us a list of tent sites that could accommodate vehicles larger than 15’ - so they do exist but you have to ask. We camped in tent site B033.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Just mediocre. Several incidents of noisy campers and late generator use and no park rangers or camp hosts around (stayed 4 nights). Staff leaves at 8 pm. Couldn't find a camp host. Compared to other national parks, expensive at $30 for unserviced sites and no shower. Location for hiking was excellent though.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Just fine but not great. It was nice to be close to everything but the campground was just so so. The beautiful trees made the campsite feel kind of dark, gloomy and cold. The loop we were on (and our site) was so uneven.... I wasn't sure we'd be able to get our trailer in. I'd stay here again, just not my favorite.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Typical National Park ... no hook ups but it's all about location ... beautiful ... very wet and foggy ... expect it:) Motorhome height @ 13' was ok on main roads ... some limbs low and very tight to maneuver in campground. Do Not attempt to take class A on any of the scenic park loop road ... several heights @ 10' ... in book 3 ... #HisRoadTrip www dot HisRoadTrip dot com

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Very nice campground with level sites. Quiet and centrally located for hiking, biking, and relaxing. Easy walk to the ocean with great star watching at night.
