For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: We were looking for a campground in Acadia National Park that would enable us to be close to good biking and hiking. We're self contained and didn't need hook ups or bath houses. We're were there in the off season.
This campground most closely fit the bill. The camp sites were ok sized and well maintained. There were campers in all sites around us yet it didn't feel crowded. There was a short hike to a beautiful ocean view point. There are no hook ups, no wifi, and no Verizon or ATT cell coverage. We went to Bar Harbor once a day to check messages.

For Blackwoods Campground - Acadia National Park: Very nice quiet campground. Sites nicely spaced for privacy and good shade on almost all sites. There is no cell service as of 6/15, you need to drive about 5 miles toward Bar Harbor to pick up a signal.
