For Fontainebleau State Park: Stayed one night on our way through and wished we could have stayed longer! Shaded sites available, we stayed on #16, a semicircular pull through. Was a tight squeeze for our 35' motor home but we had no trouble. Swimming in the lake, went for a walk in the morning and saw 11 deer. Overnight was very quiet, lots of space and privacy. Paid $28 plus $6 "reserve america fee" even though we were walk-up that day.

For Fontainebleau State Park: Very nice park. Easy walk to the beach. Very large and was not crowded on a beautiful weekend in April. Many sites are flat, level and spacious, but there are also sites in the "new campground" that the asphalt is broken up or are in low areas that are muddy. Tent campers in the primitive sites need to chose carefully in case of rain. We stayed in loop C in the "old campground" area which was very nice with our 26' RV.

For Fontainebleau State Park: We're tent campers but we often sleep in our van which we did on our three day stay here because of wet grounds. I signed up online for site 92 but it was partially flooded. I asked to switch to un-numbered primitive site across from site 119. No electric or water but was great for us. Great hiking.
Mandeville has it all and only an hour from Nwarlins.

For Fontainebleau State Park: I gave this park 4 stars only because navigating the sites is a bit difficult. They don't want you on the grass but you have as the paved pads are too tight of a radius not to get some wheels in the grass. Only negative for me, the park itself is beautiful. I saw 8 - 10 deer each and every morning on my walks! Restrooms were very clean. We would probably stay here again.
We stayed here in a 38' fifth wheel

For Fontainebleau State Park: Beautiful State Park. The South Campground is older with mostly premium (pull through) sites which are fairly close together. Campsites in the North Campground are more spacious and there are 4-5 campsites available with sewer connections. (Back in premium sites have sewer connections as do a few pull through sites). The showers in the bathhouse for the North Campground have push buttons with no temperature control. Both bathhouses for the South Campground have standard shower controls. Roads and site pads are paved.

For Fontainebleau State Park: My wife and I just spent a week in Fontainbleau and it was one of the best weeks ever! We would start our mornings riding our bikes on the St Tammany Trace Trail (accessible from the park) to Old Mandaville and have a delicious breakfast at The Broken Egg Cafe. Our days consisted of paddle boarding on Lake Pontchartrain and relaxing on the beach (part of the park) or walking the nature trails in the area. Come evening we would go to a local restaurant and enjoy an early dinner so we could get back to the park's pier and watch the sun set over the lake. Once the sun was down the deer come out and aren't skittish at all, even when we were walking our Great Dane they didn't seem to mind our presence. We will be coming back to Fontainbleau again and again for as long as we can!

For Fontainebleau State Park: Beautiful park! Level sites throughout, nice trails, lots of deer at night, it was super quite at night, and I wish that we could extend our time here. I've also got three bars on my internet. I still need internet for work as I'm not retired yet!
