For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: Stayed 10 nights, late May-early June at the newer section of the Barksdale FamCamp. This section of FamCamp can be reserved in advance. $20/night with reduced rates for week/month. Pros: Level concrete pads, easy utility hookups, well staffed campground (they seem to care and knowledgeable about camping versus other Outdoor Rec ran facilities), spacious between sites on new side. Clear antenna signal. More reliable WiFi than majority of other campgrounds. Cons: Gravel roads are well worn, lots of potholes. Any rain seems to congregate to the front and back of sites, making getting in and out of your TV, secondary vehicle and into coach a mess. Long termers taking over the older section of camp, which is well shaded (newer section has zero shade). Pretty far from amenities (small Capehart Express is a mile, but about 10 miles to exchange/commissary). We stayed in a 36’ TT.

For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: The industrial Gate is open from 0545 til 1200 on Saturday. The new Camp Ground is very nice with level pads. Utilities are well placed.

For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: Great FamCamp but the facilities are not maintained very often. Toilet paper is almost out.

For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: Prices went up in august. Their website still says $20 a night. We called to make reservations and were told it would be $70.

For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: We stayed in the New Fam Camp. Fabulous, big Concrete slabs. Every site has a seperate 10 X 10 slab with a picnic table. 2 Huge Handicap sites. Concrete from site to Utilities and Facilities building. Laundry, showers, and Toilet. This is a U.S.A.F.B52 Bomber Base. It also plays Reville,Retreat, & Taps. The only complaint we had the Laundry is to small. No Table or Hooks.

For Barksdale AFB FamCamp: Stayed for two days. We found the Fam Camp to be quiet, green and clean. We stayed in the newer construction area. All pads in this area are pull through. Pads were level with 30/50 amps, water , and dump. Laundry had 3 washers and dryers. Showers were clean with hot water. WiFi and cell were good. Staff was very nice and helpful.
