For Illinois Beach State Park: Campground is sold out on summer weekends and can feel very crowded. During the week things are quieter and the bathhouses stay clean. Sites in the 200's are further from the beach than the 300's, but are also more spacious and most are shaded by large trees. Sites in the 100's are furthest from the beach and can not be reserved ahead of time. There are two centrally located bathhouses with timed push button showers that have no temperature controls.
