For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: I had no idea the dry camping was first come. I paid months in advance when I could have paid upon arrival. We were there the last week in April and the campground was virtually empty. The sites are not maintained. Pick a site near a restroom and you will get WiFi. The reservation window for the electric sites is 366 days in advance. Water is available at the dumpsite. It’s a must see park, but like others have said it may be best to camp outside the park.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: The camp has 4 loops with plenty of room. The Ute and Apache loops have spaces for larger rigs. We stay in Apache with a 36’ and a Jeep they are generally pretty leveled but there are some that are a bit off.
Our spot without leveling system was just perfect.
Bathroom are clean . Shower , laundry room and store are just half mile away . There is also a loop of a full hook ups.
The only complaint I have for this park is that dry camping is $39.00 but with senior pass is $20 . The sites are spaced out . Also you have free Wi-Fi which is not the greatest but better then nothing. Other convince is that you are inside the park and makes a breeze to get around.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: This is a great National Park. One of the best, so I’m not sure what’s up with these reviews . Some people should just stay in hotels .
The camping cost me $17 for two nights with my gold pass. The showers are large with hot water and they are private .
The sites are a combination of private and open sites. The market and restaurant was located close and everything is by the entry as you come into the park.
The park itself is outstanding . The trails breathtaking and check out the petroglyphs but be prepared so bring snacks and water.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: Kind of disappointing. Most sites are not level. Not much in the way of shade. We ended up spending two of our days in the Durango area.
On the plus side, showers at main check in. Also laundry and small restaurant.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: A bargain with senior pass, because free hot unlimited showers, reasonably priced laundromat, free dump & fill. Campsites are pretty small and barren, and most not level, but it’s great access to the park.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: Wow, very underwhelmed. I just came from The Great Sand Dunes NP and had an amazing view. Driving up to MV camping area I started getting excited. But when I pulled into the camp grounds I was so disappointed.
There is no view. Showers are 1/2 mile away. No shade. No hookups (for the price there should be).
Save your money and stay at the campgrounds off the main road. It’s only $4 more.

For Morefield - Mesa Verde National Park: Being inside the park makes up for any convenience, such as showers at the central store, office, laundry. Facilities were a bit shabby, Aramark concession employees didn’t look very happy. Some sites are very private with short trees surrounding them, other sites are open, good for viewing mule deer, coyotes, bear. Only a few FHU sites in the 300 or so. During our early October visit, the gas station, restaurant, ranger office were closed. Great dark sky location, the Milky Way was brilliant.
