For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: Park is dusty, sites are too narrow, and worst of all sites are not level. Only positive comment, park is very close to entry point of RMNP.

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: The park is close to RMNP entrance which is nice but the sites are not level and difficult to back in. We have a 43' 5th wheel and our site was no where near level. I watched a shorter 5th wheel have issues backing in because the roads aren't very wide and your truck has to go uphill while trying to back in. It's also dusty in the park. Has great views of the mountains and easy access to RMNP but next time I would request a better site that is level but the entire campground is built on the mountain so not sure many sites are level. Wi-fi had issues and kept dropping.

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: We had stayed here before in a fifth-wheel, so didn't hesitate to stay here again. However, we now have a truck camper and after we hooked up we were told that we couldn't unattached and drive our truck off. I now understand that because of the occasional high wind gusts, it's too dangerous. But I made the reservation over the phone and we weren't told about that. We wouldn't have stayed here had we known. Then, they were strict with their rules. Had we rented a car we would have had to pay $5 a day. My daughter had to drive up from Boulder and they would have charged her the same to Park here. We had to close up and drove the whole shebang to Boulder for the day. What a pain. As far as the campgrounds, they could have done more with trees etc, but the setting is so gorgeous you don't care.

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: Adequate sites with full hook-ups and friendly staff, and close to the entrance to RMNP, but frankly, for $65 a night, we expected more. No trees, not much grass, and close together enough that you can clearly hear your neighbors talking when you're in your RV. RMNP is a popular destination in September - who knew? - and Estes Park was crowded, so we took what we could get and were grateful...but we did feel we'd paid too much.

For Elk Meadow Lodge And RV Resort: If you want level sites with full hookup closest to RMNP, this is your place. If you also want very close spacing, no grass in the camping area, and lots of dust, this is also your place. Stayed here for five nights in a motor home, wished we had made reservation for dry camping inside the Park. Wifi has strong signal, but poor bandwidth, almost unusable. But all in all, for access to RMNP, it was convenient.
