For Buckskin Mountain State Park: The park itself is lovely - right on the water, nice sites, some large trees for shade, nice dog park, visitors center (closed), store (closed), cactus garden, nice - but steep - walking trails. The bad? Terrible, dirty bathrooms, with camping families running long electric cords into the bathroom plugs. WiFi unusable. Probably very hot in summer with crowds. Rangers not there after hours? Close to Lake Havasu, so good for one night stop.

For Buckskin Mountain State Park: Great Park, On the river, peaceful, quiet, paved level spots, trees, grass. The only improvement would be dumps at all sites!

For Buckskin Mountain State Park: What a great park. Park is essentially in the shape of a triangle with water on 2 sides. Nice, flat spaces and spread out enough. Stayed in site 21 with E/W, no sewer, but dump station on way out. Great hiking trail connected to it as well. Beauty; will be back.

For Buckskin Mountain State Park: Clean, park staff are very friendly. Insane, noisy, crowded. If you want to enjoy camping this is not the place! LOUD Boats, jets skis, drinking & screaming, loud music until 3AM this is your place. Boats/jet skis start up at 5am. Quiet hours are 10 pm to 7 am. Not enforced at all.

For Buckskin Mountain State Park: Beautiful, shady park right on the river. Immaculately cared for. Hot showers, decent water, great birding. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Nice hiking trails. We were there midweek and experienced just a little of the boat noise. On the weekend, the park staff admitted it can get bad. Cool, pleasant and quiet, we would definitely visit this one again. Nice dog park too, and a place for dogs to swim. Very nice.

For Buckskin Mountain State Park:
Just to be clear Buckskin state park is one of our favorites as we snowbird in AZ in the winter.
But, stay away from the FHU sites. They are noisy, hot and treeless. The only good ones are reserved for the
hosts. Specifically stay away site 33 which is next to the host in 32. We called him the trashman. He had
1 portable freezer and 1 portable refrigerator outside his 5th wheel. The picnic table was piled
high with "stuff". He had a boat full of pop bottles and trash. Apparently, he did not have enough storage
so he put up a tent right next to our connections. He had lawn ornament frogs all over the site.
While we were there his family showed up in site 34. Apparently, that gave them license to use our site
as a pathway between the 2 5th wheels. On the day we were leaving, he moved his truck and boat onto the roadway on our only exit
and went inside his son's trailer. After 10 minutes, I had to go in and ask them to move so I could exit.
I don't know why the park rangers do not correct this problem

For Buckskin Mountain State Park: Buckskin Mountain SP is the sister park to River Island SP. It is hard to tell which we liked best. Buckskin has miles of hiking loops that can be put together to make a short or as long of a hike as you like. The views from the various hikes are fantastic. The trails are well marked. The RV spaces are fairly wide and we liked and used the provided fire rings. This place is a \'93classic\'94 state park. Everyone here is camping and no one lives here. There are abundant bathhouses around that park that are clean and well maintained. Kudos to the staff. All the volunteers are very helpful and super friendly. The Wifi is only really viable near the park office. Verizon coverage is non-existent. AT&T cell signal was moderate to good.
We stayed in a 32 ft class A with a TOAD
