For KOA Journey Memphis: I recently learned the difference between a Journey KOA and Holiday KOA. This is a Journey, a place to stay along the way. In that sense I think it’s a decent campground. Great lady in the office. Good office hours unlike some KOAs. The sites are tight but they’re pull thrus so it doesn’t much matter. It’s a short stay campground. The hookups are well located in relationship to rigs. And you can order dinner to be delivered to your site. We liked that.

For KOA Journey Memphis: Submitted my reservation online and received all confirmation emails. Upon arrival, they realized they made an error and double booked the site. Luckily?, for us, someone canceled and we got their site. Issues with 50A service that kept tripping my surge protector. Contacted the office and they advised someone would check it out, never saw ‘someone.’ Sites are tight and I’m a big rig, but luckily the ‘overbooked’ campground had open sites to make my parking easier. The gentleman helping us on site was the only reason for 2 stars. The woman in the office was my reason for 1. Unimpressed

For KOA Journey Memphis: Tried to call ahead to see if there was availability but phone was busy. Decided to just pull in and they did have spots available. Super nice staff although the computer system wasn’t working very well so had to pay cash. Decent place to stay a night but as others have said lots of potholes and fairly tight spots. We were in a 33 ft motorhome pulling a Jeep Wrangler and didn’t have any trouble getting in or out of our pull through spot. I would stay here again but recommend to make a reservation due to the computer problems.

For KOA Journey Memphis: $62.00 most overpriced, noisiest, muddiest, pothole ridden campground ever. Couldn’t sleep at all because of trucks on the uneven highway next to the campground. Pool is a swamp. The Staff was super nice and laundry room is clean.

For KOA Journey Memphis: Great for a weekend or just one night. Very quiet and clean has full hook ups as well as propane. Very nice welcome center. Major plus is right on/off I-55. People that greet you are very pleasant as well. Would stop here again for sure. Only down side is a bit bit pricey but again worth the stop.

For KOA Journey Memphis: Traveling home we decided to stop at LOA campgrounds, anticipating a clean and safe stay. This place is an exception to what we expected. The roads are full of potholes, the pool was green and scum filled. We I ask about the pool I was told how much trouble it was because of the complaints. Got the impression there were no plans to fix. This was also the highest priced KOA we have stayed, $65 for one night.

For KOA Journey Memphis: I have never submitted a review ever but felt I need to warn other campers about this KOA. This is the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. The site was too small for our 44' fifth wheel. When we went to park our vehicle in am empty site they yelled at us and said they would have to charge us more money even though no one came into that sight. The roads have big holes and has poor drainage with a lot of mud. The charge was the most we have ever paid and was the worst place we had ever parked.
