Cindy
For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Love this campground!! It has the best location for the springs with fabulous views. It’s first come first serve so get there early. We didn’t have any problems getting a spot because we were there a couple of days before Christmas. You pay at the kiosk that takes credit cards only. We only stayed one night and wanted a little time to go to a bathhouse so we requested a late check out and they were very accommodating. Great bunch of folks that run those grounds!!

Ramie
For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Spaces quite close to each other and lots of trees. Only place our 25’ sewer hose didn’t reach so had to make a run to get an extension. Not all sites that way but ours was. We arrived on a Wednesday around 1pm and about 8 sites left. Good to get there early it seems. Very clean, friendly, and helpful. Trails everywhere and one that takes you to the historic bathhouse part of the Park, with restaurants and shops, about 50 minutes each way for us. Definitely stay again!

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: We found this campground to be very nice. Our site and many around us had plenty of room although as others have mentioned some of the sites are tighter. This is a first come first serve so arrive early. We had arrived just before 3pm on a Sunday and there were multiple spots still available to choose from, but many of those filled within 15-30 minutes of our arrival.
As others have mentioned there is a road that runs on the side of the campground and sometimes loud trucks drive through. We are in a motorhome and the noise didn't bother us at all at night. There is a very nice 1 1/2 mile walking path from the campground to Bathhouse Row but protect yourself from the chiggers and ticks.
Verizon cell service is amazing here! We were getting 50-100Mbps DL / 15Mbps UL speeds on Verizon.
AT&T had 4 bars but upload speeds were not very good at 12Mbps DL/0.5Mbps UL.

NOBO Campers
For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: This would definitely be a 5 if the road noise wasn’t so loud. We found a spot along the stream which is farthest from the road, but still heard lots of truck traffic. (Guessing the road is a ‘cut off’ to avoid downtown Hot Springs). It was great being able to hike right from the CG and get to Hot Springs to explore. The CG is very well kept. Some spaces are a little closer than others, but they are all paved and relatively level. Great having full hook ups.

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: We arrived on a Friday morning and there were still several spots available near the creek, which are shady and feel somewhat private, as there is often vegetation growing between the campsites. The self-pay kiosk was easy to use and functioning properly. We enjoyed the evening program by the local rangers. Our site only required minimal leveling. It took a little more than 30 minutes to hike into Hot Springs and the trails are well-marked. There are a range or restaurants to choose from. Given the heat during the time we stayed (July), it was a great to have full hook-ups. After a day of sweating it out on the hiking trails, it was nice to return to a cool motor home and a shower!

Wandering Sandals
For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Stayed overnight in Gulpha Gorge campground due to its location inside Hot Springs National Park. We were little surprised to learn that self registered machine take full price at $30/night for full hookup. No pull-thru, only 40’ back-in sites. High price but no shower take the fun out of staying this campground. Granted, there is no entrance fee and visitors can lug all the amazing clean cold spring water (near The Happy Hollow) they can drink, or the hot spring water (near Visitor Center) to their heart desired, but other national park campgrounds have better sceneries and not completely and utterly commercialized like this one for less. RV sites near the creek were flat and most shaded, whereas sites near the Hot Springs National Park road needs leveling blocks and content with road noise. Clean and spacious picnic area before the campsites are inviting. Day trip to this park for playing in the creek, use picnic area, and site-seeing hot springs make more sense than overnight camping.
