For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Not a secure campground, no gate or checkin procedure. Locals appear to come to back of campground near amphitheater to play in the small creek that runs along one side of campground. There are also day use areas at entrance to campground. Three bathroom buildings but one was out of order, none had showers and all needed a deep cleaning. Campsites along the creek are close together but a bit more level than the other sites. Most sites need 4-8” of leveling front to back, all sites are on an asphalt pad, some don’t have grills. Sites along the road can be noisy with traffic. Poor digital TV reception and equally poor 1 bar lte ATT phone reception. Be aware the address listed on this website is not the campground. It will less you through town to park headquarters.

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: What a lovely campground after 300 miles on I-20! Gentle little levels so it doesn’t feel hilly or cramped. SO QUIET - birds & a few human voices at 5:30pm. I have a Class C (24’) & don’t tow so fit into site #16 easily - ADA OUTFITTED - with electricity, water, sewage. It has easy (1 minute) walking distance to restrooms. Last minute reservations during Monday of Memorial Day seemed AOK. Would definitely stay here again!

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Wonderful small campground. Clean bathrooms. Sites are a little close together. Tenter next to use was 1’ from our window. Got to listen to him cough up a hair ball every morning. Sites along river are better because further from road. Hosts were amazing. Always walking around sites cleaning up before new people came in. No showers which wasn’t a problem for us Near the hot springs and down town

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Great NP campground. It was surprisingly quite eventhough it is in town. Great trail. No showers but clean restrooms. The spots 20 to 44 are along the river. Recommend those but there are no bad spots.

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: We look to stay at NATIONAL PARK campgrounds and we’re delighted to get a spot here. We were not delighted once we got to our site #3. The road noise was terrible with logging trucks, tractor trailers, dump trucks and autos within 60 ft of our site. It is a shame as the campground is historic and beautiful being built in 1925 when the road was not a through road. We did hike 10 miles, had a soak in the tubs and went to the Superior Brewery twice ! If you do want to stay at park we recommend a site along the stream if you can get one. We had little choice when we reserved online

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: Great campground with full hookups (electric, water, sewer). Now requires reservations, which is actually convenient in my opinion. Convenient drive to the main area of Hot Springs with the bath houses, etc.

Kamile

For Gulpha Gorge Campground - Hot Springs National Park: We LOVE this campground!! We stayed three nights and we absolutely would have stayed longer had we not been on a schedule. It was a last minute change of plans due to weather further north and I’m so glad it happened. The only downfall to this campsite for us was no showers, since we have a tent camper, but we could’ve stayed weeks either way. There were plenty of things for our kids (1yr & 3yrs) to run around and do (very outdoorsy kids) and our dog enjoyed it as well. Get there early to get a good site. We came in the off-season with the temperature highs around 40 degrees and the lows around 20, but it still filled up quickly. We were able to snag a creek side spot and it was just perfect. The campground is also great because you can take the gulpha gorge trail to other trails and make your way to overlooks or all the way to bathhouse row. It was a fairly easy 4mi round trip hike and definitely worth it if you have the physical ability to do so. We will absolutely stay here again.
