Oct 2016: Yes, we always ask upon arrival when we can see that there is a spot to park. Calling ahead has not worked for us. We did not see any signs for no overnights. Even if there are signs, almost every time we can stay. We do avoid Walmarts with small parking lots. You overlook retention ponds, that at the time we stayed were full of Canadian Geese.
