For New Minas Irving Big Stop: Excellent parking, big lot for rvs and truckers. Dog bark park! Clean new/modern facilities, stocked store, easy access off highway. Restaurant had good truck stop diner food. Their pancakes are the size of a sandwich plate and thick- one is enough. Responsive waitress to our needs and in fixing a problem we had (dropped food on floor by accident and she replaced it and cleaned the mess). Polite and friendly people in restaurant and store.

For New Minas Irving Big Stop: Was at the BIg Stop in new minas a week ago and from the moment we walked in it was a bad experience. It was so cold in this restaurant that even with a jacket on I noticed it. We mentioned this to the waitress as soon as she came to our table to wait on us and she didn't seem to be to interested in our complaint we did not make a big deal about it but later noticed as we waited for our food her and one of the other waitresses looked as though they were talking about us. We patiently waited for our food which seem to take forever as we noticed others who came in after us get served. When our food finally came it was warm but not hot I ordered the fish and chips and after about three bits I looked down and found a hair in my fries. After we flagged down the waitress she rushed it back to the kitchen and when she returned she notified us that it was an animal hair and when we questioned her about how an animal hair would have made it into my food she commented that nobody that worked there has any pets which we found hard to believe. Long story short my meal was replaced with a new one but when our bill arrived there was no free meal, no discount or no voucher for a percentage after a future visit I was not pleased after freezing to death, finding a hair and not being able to eat my meal at the same time as my husband this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and almost an "animal" hair too. just we before we left I heard the two men behind us complaining to our waitress about it being cold in here guess it wasnt just me.
