For Alabama Wildwood RV: We stayed in site 59, very spacious. The site has water, electric and sewer, but no cable. One tree in the back corner offers some shade. The rest of the site is open with no obstructions. The campground is only a few minutes from Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker) and the town of Enterprise. I saw no operating office, store or laundry. The campground is located in what appears to be a residential area and there really isn’t a park entrance. You can’t tell where the park begins or ends. Most sites appear long term, as they have mailboxes and garbage cans for street pick up.
The photos shown here were the reason I chose this park, and what made me think this was going to be a resort of sorts. No such luck! Just a grassy lot with water, electric and sewer. We stayed 2 nights and visited both Fort Novosel Aviation Museum and saw the Boll-weevil monument in Enterprise. Both were terrific! Lots of nice shops in Enterprise too.
Would I stay at this campground again? No.
However, if you do stay here or nearby, be sure to eat at McLin’s restaurant in town. Now that was outstanding!!
