For Tijuana River Valley Regional Park: Clean campsites with nice walking trails. Warm showers and clean bathrooms. Friendly County of San Diego ranger staff. Beautiful wildflowers when I visited in late April. Firewood for sale if you want a campfire. Trail up the ridge rewards with views of the Pacific and San Diego and the nice meadows where the campground is. You can also see the border wall in the distance from there.
Yurts also available here. Ocean breeze, although trail to the beach is in a State park which was closed due to recent flooding. Navy helicopters flying nearby often, but it is quiet and peaceful when they take a rest. We saw a rattlesnake on the trail, but we just kept our distance.
