For Windy Waters: Pros of this park are that it’s new and the sites are spaced out nicely. Easy in and out pull throughs for big rigs. The picnic tables are new and the location is great with easy access to the highway and the river is nearby. The wi-fi was good and there are 13 OTA channels. The text communication with Julie was pleasant.
Cons are there are no trees at all for shade so depending on the time of year, it can be very hot. Basically its a well done gravel parking lot with level sites. All communication with us was done via text and email and the arrival was confusing as our GPS took us to the Windy Waters rv park just down the road. The sign they do have at Windy Waters Alcova is very small and easy to miss. There is no sign indicating an office nor was it open that we saw. We had no direct human interaction. There is very little verizon cell service (texting but not calling).
That being said we would stay again now that we know what to expect as it is a good stop for us between South Dakota and family in Wyoming.

For Windy Waters: This place is now called Windy Waters (windy waters.com)
We had two trailers at this park last week to fish the North Platte. There are actually two different lots to this facility, one that is directly across the convenience store and another newly built facility almost next to it down Kortes Rd. The first area was a very run down old park which was recently purchased. You would never know it, as the new owners cleared the area and reinstalled fresh crushed granite along with electric, water and sewer. The new owners went out of their way to welcome us, provide local information and deal with any concerns we had. Very nice people. If you’re looking for a dependable place with central location, close to many fishing options, including the grey reef, miracle mile, Freemont canyon and the lake, I’d highly recommend this rv park.
