For Sioux Bayou Landing RV Park: Well, I had the opposite reaction from the review that only gave one star. For a kayaker in a camper van such as I am, this place is nirvana! Yes people are packed in, but that just allows for more people to get to experience the natural beauty of the bayou that borders this park. A perfect kind of funky old wooden bar has a deck facing east over the water for amazing sunset viewing. The bathrooms and showers and laundry room are all clean and functioning, and the hosts couldn’t be friendlier and more accommodating . I’m trying to figure out a way to reroute my return trip to include this place. It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. Oh and right now at 5 pm it’s in the mid 70s with a gentle breeze blowing over the water…in March!

For Sioux Bayou Landing RV Park: We were very disappointed in this campground. The campsites were very small and the roadway to get to the sites was narrow with sharp turns. It appeared to be more of a residential campground and in need of a lot of updating. When we arrived, there was no office,. We had to go into the campground bar to get our campsite information. We reserved a “deluxe 50 AMP full hook up” site. When we found the site, the electrical box was hanging off the pole, could not locate the water and there was not enough room to open our slides. We attempted to contact the owner several times for an explanation/refund and he would not return our calls.
