For Carolina Pines RV Resort: We are F/T RV'ers, stayed over a month Mar/Apr 23.
CHECK IN: Got a phone call the day before & were instructed to drive to guard shack upon arrival. Escorted to our back in premium site located in a newer section at the back of resort. No info on activities, shuttle, food etc we’re given. Took a few days to get acclimated.
OUR SITE: Nice and level. The forest area behind site shielded us from cold winds, provided some sound barrier and gave rear privacy. Landscaping was new but will be nice once matured. Our neighbors were annoying (they were beside us our whole 6 wk stay) ruined it for us when we were AT our camp. They smoked 24/7 so couldn't open our windows. Sat their chairs just under our slides, they had so much stuff all the way over to our concrete that we had zero side barrier!! Had 2 big dogs tied to their rig, never walked them :( barked EVERY time someone walked by!
INTERNET: Didnt use, we travel with Starlink.
LIKES: Truly a family vacay destination resort. So many activities (even in low season) for families, too many to list!! Gated entry, trash pick up etc. The roads are clean and wide making it easy to maneuver even big rigs.
SHOPPING: Closest grocery was about 15-20 minutes away. Really everything was about that far from this resort.
CONCERNS: There’s literally no one that answers the phone here if you have a question, so just be aware. You can not receive mail or packages here, not even if you are staying a month or longer.
Water slide area closed whole 6 weeks we were here. Shuttle did NOT take to beach or beach club the whole time we were here. It did go m-th to other places.
Holidays are PACKED! Golf carts going fast blaring music all day/night. Tons of kids on electric bikes & scooters 🛴 going very fast. If that's your jam, you'll like it here.
RESTAURANTS ON SITE: All were very good!
RESTAURANTS OFF SITE: We don't eat out that much. We found a great VALUE IMO at Hamburger Joe's and it was delicious. I'll update this as I remember some others.
Margarita’s & Fiesta Mexicana for Mexican food. 😋
COST: Our total discounted stay was about $1465. For 37 nights. W/ promo & monthly discount. Cost vs. value for us as 2 retirees, no kids or pets wasn't great. We just needed a gated, safe place to park on a concrete pad for an extended period and didn't require amenities. If you are a family w/ children and pets, it's a much better value.
If you need a golf cart that will run you $65./day or $700./mo. At least when we were here mar 1-Apr 17 that’s what we were quoted.
TIP: Sign up to their facebook page so you will know what's going on weekly, activity and food wise. For individuals without an RV, the cottages onsite are a nice rental alternative while visiting this tourist area.
OVERALL: With the exception of annoying neighbors, we would return but would pick a different site now that we know the layout of park.

For Carolina Pines RV Resort: First class RV resort. Sites are spacious. Lots of activities. The amenities were outstanding. The pool area and lazy River, the bar and restaurant, all of it was wonderful. The office staff were not the friendliest and could use some better customer service skills, but overall highly recommend this place. We will definitely stay here again.

For Carolina Pines RV Resort: This is truly a resort destination . Spotless facilities at this well managed park. The pools and water park are amazing. The pub with bar food was a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

For Carolina Pines RV Resort: Wow! This is a don’t miss resort. We stayed for 4 nights. Weekends are busier and quieter weekdays but a destination resort for families. Water slides open 5/1 (2021) but pools, restaurant, bowling, arcade, etc are all open. Super clean, well done, luxury rv resort. We’ll be back!
