Torrance
For Sonoran Skies Campground: Smaller campground. Larger sites. Plenty of space. Gravel for Rvs but very natural desert for parking. Sparse in some places but it
Seems to be under construction in some areas. Interesting layout with Rvs in one quarter, the cabins in another, chickens and a garden and then the owner stays in the fourth quarter. She works hard on this every day. The progress is one visible. It’s quiet here. Nice campfire at night when it’s not too cold or too windy. Very gracious host. Was very relaxing here and I’ll come back.

For Sonoran Skies Campground: Small campground with a big heart. The sites are spacious, mostly pea gravel with natural desert bushes all around. The campfire at night is a welcome to all staying. Such a nice group of guests staying-almost like they’re handpicked! The owner and host, Joyce is extremely hospitable and will do just about anything to make your stay enjoyable. This is my second visit here. The campground is looking better and better each time I visit. Lots of hard work and dedication going into this place. It’s a beautiful oasis in the desert with a lovely owner.

For Sonoran Skies Campground: Dropped by in my truck. Slept in the back waiting for the Mexico border to open. Unbelievable stars and sunrise here. Host owner brought me hot chocolate before bed and coffee in morning, complete with snacks! Never had that at a campground before. Will definitely stay here next month when I come

For Sonoran Skies Campground: We found this place on the internet when we were looking for a campsite near Organ Pipe monument. It is such a lovely place and the owner is just a delight. She made us feel right at home as soon as we drove in. The spaces are big and we were told to take as much space as we needed. They had full hookups and were very clean. It is $30/night which is worth it for the peace and quiet, cleanliness and the lovely campfire which was lit for us to enjoy. She made a big pot of chili and we all had some for dinner. This lady is truly a lovely caring and kind person who cares about the experience you have. Hospitality is number one here and we left knowing that we will stay here again! 5 stars for this lovely lady.

For Sonoran Skies Campground: Decided to check this place out based on multiple reviews online. They were so accurate. It’s desert like, all natural, small, intimate gatherings, open campground spaces with enough room to spread out, quiet, VERY hospitable, friendly and so much more. I’ve always stayed in places that were well laid out, concrete slabs, landscaping etc and pricey!!! This place was $15/night for my truck camper in a site with septic/water- no power. Right at the end of summer as the weather is cooling off. The campground was still pretty empty, no snowbirds yet and a couple of passing throughs. The owner—- a lady with a huge heart! Couldn’t do enough for us. Couldn’t give us enough. Provided food when we were late arriving. Hot coffee in the morning as we ran out of propane. A baggie of leaflets of things to do in the area. Treats for our dogs and cat. A jar of prickly pear jelly she made and fresh eggs from the chickens. The Scottish are known for their wonderful hospitality and this lady didn’t forget it!! Just amazing! We dropped our cargo trailer for $5/day and headed to Mexico for a week. All was safe and well when we got back. Yeh.... this is a definite yearly stop for us! Great experience. Made our lives enjoyable. She is a blessing! This is how a true campground should be run! Thank you!!
