For Snaring River Overflow Campground - Jasper National Park: The Overflow campground was apparently once a large open field, but it has been reconfigured into 280 campsites, of which 13 are walk-in tent sites and the rest are drive-in sites. All the drive-in sites are back-in but there is plenty of room for a big rig and a tow car. Sites are nicely spaced and level but are dry camping only (generators allowed during specified hours). The views of the surrounding mountains cannot be beat; however, the campground is adjacent to very active train tracks, so it isn’t quiet. It seemed to me that a train went by every 30 minutes including at night; I only heard a horn once. Since this is an overflow campground, reservations are not accepted and stays are limited to 2 days. The ranger told me that it rarely fills completely.
