For Chautauqua Gorge State Forest: Stayed 5/18/23 in a truck camper. Wanted free overnight parking in a quiet location while passing thru in a hurry. The conference room sized porta-poddie in the picnic area was clean and stocked which was an unexpected bonus. Rolled in around 11:00 pm. There was another truck camper, 1 tent, and a hippie van occupying 3 of the advertised 8 sites which were pleasantly far away from each other. I was the loudest thing I heard all night. So quiet actually that I could hear my beard rubing on my sleeping bag as I breathed-almost wished for a bit more background noise. There was no attendant or fee station, and I did not have to speak to anyone during the 8 hours I was there. It is about 15or so minutes off the Highway, so took no longer than check in-check out PITA at a hotel, but it had me at free in the first place. It was perfect and I look forward to sleeping there again some time.
