For 1889 Park: The campground is basically a gravel parking lot. The main park is across the road which we didn't visit. There wasn't a bathroom anywhere close to the campground. The place is run by volunteers and the person I met to pay the fee was very nice. There is an active railroad very nearby. We picked this campground because we visited the Allegheny Portage Railroad NHS and the Johnstown Flood National Memorial sites. There were very limited options for camping nearby those sites.
