For Chupadero Mountain View RV Park: This is a small, simple, clean, rural facility; perfect for an overnight stay with full hookups $25. Sites are long, level, hard pack gravel. No shade. Hookups are a little unconventional, but good. Owners are lovely people. We sat on the front porch of the office/gallery and watched the hummingbirds, while we talked with them. The park has waiting lists during birding seasons and local festivals, but was quiet and empty when we were there. There are clean bathrooms if you need them. No laundry. Our satellite and Verizon connections worked well. We walked over to the pond and around the pasture. We also enjoyed hiking the Canyon Trail in the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge a few miles down the road. We will come back.

For Chupadero Mountain View RV Park: As with others, the nicest folks ever. Stopped for one night on the way to AZ. Had a propane issue resolved in Socorro. Javelina sighted as an extra. Small area with all the stars.

For Chupadero Mountain View RV Park: What a great campground. As stated by other reviewers, the owners are friendly and enjoyable to be around, if only all campground owners were like these people. The campground is small but it adds to the friendly ambiance. The location is great with the Trinity site, the Very Large Array and Bosque del Apache nearby. I only regret not being able to stay longer. Maybe next trip to NM.

For Chupadero Mountain View RV Park: We really enjoyed our night here and plan to return. Jose and Rena are a delight and so interesting and very friendly. A farmland setting among pastures with mountain views on the horizon. Close to a wonderful wildlife refuge for bird viewing. Local artists are represented in their shop. Jose is very artistic/creative with a fascinating collection of items for sale. Jose works in metal and wood, as well as glass recycle. The stone fire pit area was very nice and perfect to watch the sunset.

Buggs
For Chupadero Mountain View RV Park: I just visited the Trinity Site and stayed 3 days at Chupadero RV Park (also close to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge). I am a tent camper, but was traveling with friends with a trailer. KOA type set up, very reasonable rates for full hook-ups. I was able to camp behind my friends for a small additional fee. Park has 30 and 50 amp hookups with pull thrus for large trailers. They also rent a 2 room "wedding suite" with full kitchen and have a small gift shop with locally made arts and crafts. Owners Jose and Rena are gracious and gregarious hosts; sitting around the park supplied fire ring swapping stories and jokes and hearing local history was a highlight. Good food available only 2.5 mIles away in San Antonio (New Mexico, not Texas!)
