Full time family
For Big Pines RV Park: I didn’t understand when I read the reviews that there were a lot of large trees. I mean a lot. It was very much like an obstacle course trying to get to and in our spot (52) which was very off level. There was a very friendly older lab walking around the park unattended which made me very nervous when we were parking as we not only had to avoid the trees but also the dog. The park is very pretty but we would not stay here again.

Dsmithy
For Big Pines RV Park: Great, quiet campground in the middle of town. New/nice bath house, playground, river frontage. 70 sites, mostly seasonal, with 17 transient or short stay sites. All have full hookups. Free wifi and some sites have cable tv. Lots of pull-throughs. Quiet, woodsy camping three minutes from a lively downtown. Two great bookstores, several exceptional restaurants, street bands on Thursday nites. What’s not to love. Do we like it? Youbetcha!

MHGIRL
For Big Pines RV Park: The CG itself is quite nice with lots of trees, kind of like camping in the woods. Several seasonals and some of the sites were quite nice. Unfortunately we were in a newer section. Extremely unlevel for our 38 ft MH. First site was totally unworkable, moved to different site and our jacks sunk 4 inches into the sandy ground despite blocks and pads. Then steps hit the ground in the front of the coach. Had to buy a sheet of plywood and cut into 4 sections for the jacks. Was still unlevel. Young guy at office was sympathetic but unable to help.
Noisy over the weekend. Decent hookups. No WiFi at our site. Would not stay again n this section.

Colonel Christmas
For Big Pines RV Park: Nice place. Unsaved roads and grass camping lots. We prepaid on web. Very nice manager, she met us on the road to get us to our spot after calling us after being late. There are a few lots of seasonal campers and about 4 lots that look like they are permanent. They were in the process of landscaping the new shower and bathroom facility that just opened up. Overall I would stay here again even though it was a little pricey at $40. Also, if you have a satellite dish it won’t work, the trees are to tall and thick.
