For New Life Campground: Do not stay here… unless you like to pay 60. For staying in a junk yard..multitudes of old campers and machinery with tarps and strewn about.. entrance is unkept. Took us up a slight hill and parked in middle of field with junk campers. Stayed, because late and needed some shut eye. Only ones there.

For New Life Campground: Ce camping devrait être rayé de l’application.

For New Life Campground: This is one of those campgrounds you would like to see get an update and make a come back. A older campground that is trying to restore itself. Beautiful trees surround the campground and there is a constant sound of so many different birds chirping, to the turtles racing into the stream as you approach. We had a relaxing, pleasant time here. The owner is a wonderful, friendly, helpful man. The campground is very basic. Full hookup 30 amp service. They DO NOT have 50 amp service and Max vehicle size is 35' due to the entrance being very tight for anything over that. A few tent sites as well which have water and electric. No pool/hot tub or laundry, but does have a shower/bathroom building. The biggest con is a few old campers lying dormant with the exception of 5 or so of them from what I can tell. Also, constant road noise off in the distance as the NYS thruway is about 1/8 of a mile away and there is a train nearby as well that runs about every 3 hours during the day and once or twice overnight. Yet at night we had little problems falling asleep. Oh Cost is a bit high if you do not have Passport America( $25 cash or check ). Not sure but website says $60 a night for full hookup.
All in all, if your traveling up the Thruway and need a place to stop for a night or the weekend you can get off of the Kingston NYS Thruway exit 19 or Saugerties exit 20 and be here in less then 15 minutes either way. Plenty of shops and fuel off the exits on your way here.
