For Canoe Launch Campground: Here in late Sept. really quiet 2 others in the campground and one is the host. Bathroom and showers are ok. Not the cleanest and not the worst I’ve seen. $22/night with electric. Full hookups are $30.

For Canoe Launch Campground: Pleasant campground right on Missouri River. Well tended lawns great for tent camping. Clean bathrooms. Ice cream truck served campground after dinner!

For Canoe Launch Campground: Fort Benton was a highlight of our tour of Montana. The campground is on Fairgrounds property. Back-in trailer sites with 30 amp service. (There are some 50 amp sites west of the bleachers that I wish I had known about - call the number on the website to see if available to campers) Concrete picnic tables. Tent sites are available. There isn’t a host. There is a groundskeeper but whatever he’s being paid is too much. There are water spigots around but not in trailer sites (unless you can get one of those 50 amp sites I mentioned earlier) No mosquitos as previous review indicated (100+ degree temperatures). No reservation system - no problem. Note: there is a commercial campground just outside the gate so don’t get confused, you have to be inside the fairgrounds property. Nice showers: only drawback was scattered pieces of toilet paper and over sized shower curtains that trap and retain water. Hand launched watercraft area and lighted parking for shuttle vehicles available outside the campground. We would use this campground again. ⭐️proximity to town and river. ⭐️showers and barely enough electricity to run our two air conditioners.

For Canoe Launch Campground: The Campground is located within the Fairgrounds property. Spaces are big enough for most rigs, with 30 amp electric at 6 sites and 1 pull-thru full hookup 50 amp site. A few water spigots located in the campground to fill tank, but only the 50 amp site has its own water. A short 100 feet outside the camp entrance are 2 very nice bathrooms with 3 showers each. $2 fee for showers with excellent hot water, $2 fee for dump station if not camping. Threaded rinse hose at dump station for black tank flush. The campground is right on the Missouri River, but no view to speak of. The mosquitoes were horrendous mid-May. We filled our fresh water tanks, paid for our showers & dumped our black tank ($2), did our laundry (across from the VFW which is open to the public & has great food), gassed up at the Conoco, and parked on the street along the river with a great view for free. Bike path runs the entire length of town by the river. All in all, Fort Benton was a very good stop for us, although the town really should spray more often for mosquitoes.
