For Schoodic Woods Campground - Acadia National Park: Excellent campground that has only been open a year. Generous spaces, with decent shade on all but a few. Nice restrooms, but NO SHOWER FACILITIES. Buy local firewood before you arrive, because the park runs out frequently. Several hike and bike trails here. Great shuttle bus gets you around Schoodic Peninsula, but not to Mt. Desert Island. Ferry service available to/from Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor. Everyone here very friendly and helpful, but they really should address that shower issue for tent campers, which is why I gave it four stars. We stayed in a 25ft motor home.
