For MS Gs RV Park: Not a destination park, but great value for an overnight stopover at the 50%-off Passport America rate. However, it would be overpriced at the regular rate of $30 for a 30 amp full hookup site and $40 for 50 amp. Many pull-thrus, easy access from I-20 but far enough away that you don't hear traffic noise. There is an active rail line nearby, but we heard no trains after about 10 pm. Sites felt spacious, but we were one of only 4 rigs in the park. Water pressure was good and power was reliable (although the pedestals in our site and others weren't active, so the owner ran a long extension cord to our site, but it worked fine). Sewer connections are slightly higher than the sites, so rigs with low-mounted outlets may have a bit of trouble draining their tanks. AT&T voice coverage is weak (2 bars) but usable. Verizon data coverage was fine.
The owner lives about 8 miles away; he'll meet you at the park if you call the park number about an hour before you arrive. There is a camp host but otherwise no on-site office or management, but really no need for one either since there are very few amenities. This park is only 2 years old, and was originally developed for monthly use by oilfield workers before the energy bust. It is still a work in progress, and I'd expect its facilities to be improved over time when the oil and gas market improves, but right now it's best for self-contained rigs.
