For San Jon Park: Easy place off of I-40. Clean. Flat. Restrooms closed but clean portalet provided. Concrete picnic tables and grill. Quiet. So very nice of this little town to provide such a nice spot for travelers. We stayed one night. Only camper in park.

For San Jon Park: 10/11/2020. Good overnight boondocking spot. Clean bathrooms, decent shaded picnic tables and garbage cans nearby. The park is well lit at night and it’s a short walk to the c-store.

For San Jon Park: I’ve camped here twice as I was going back to the Midwest. Great little overnight campground. Only issue is the road noise because it is so close to the interstate. However, being close to the interstate, it’s easy to get to the campground and back onto the interstate. Bathrooms are clean, and the area was level. Easy to pull in, sleep, get up, get back on the road.

For San Jon Park: Parked overnight as it was late and options were few. It is free and we were surprised at how many vehicles and rigs were parked. It is helpful it’s free but the bathrooms are closed and we have a pop up so that was awkward. There were also no trash cans. It is close to the interstate and local highway so there is car and truck noise most of the night. That being said we needed a place to park and it was nice having this option. The site was level.

For San Jon Park: May 2019. Only one there. Level lots. South off the interstate about 4 blocks on the right. Very small town. Nice to see a free place to stay in a lonley part of the USA. Would stay there again.
