For Cove at CJ Strike Reservoir - BLM: This is a GREAT BLM campground. This is on the south shore of CJ Strike Lake, on the Snake River. There is a campground on the east side that has designated spots, a metal shaded picnic area, trash can, and fire ring for each site. There are sites right on the water, and just off the water. There are no hook-ups, but there is a dump station with flush water with a threaded hose hose connection for rinsing. There is potable water on-site, but only from non-threaded spigots in the middle areas for filling up jugs, not connecting an RV to. If you know this going in, you can be prepared. Adjacent to the campground is regular BLM land that has free camping. There are some great places to camp here as well. There are some fire rings (but not shade enclosures). The “roads” in this part are a little tricky, and you would want to scout ahead to make sure you can get to where you want if you have a trailer. For only $15/night ($7.50/night with the Access/Senior Pass), it is an absolute steal. Generators are allowed from 6am-10pm. Cell service (AT&T) was marginal but passable. There are bathrooms, but we did not use them. We camped here in our 35' fifth wheel.
