For Camp Bullfrog Lake: Basically a nice park and we would stay there again. The lake is cute but really small. Sites are gravel. The place needed mowing but it had been raining. Nice path beside the lake, but it too needed some trimming. Shower was dated, but the water pressure and hot water were super! Two things to be aware of. The dump station input is elevated. I used a board to keep the sewer hose flat, but you need something or you're in for a problem. Also, the only fresh water is at the office from a garden hose. You have to ask to have it turned on. There are some cabins to rent also. They were occupied when we were here and were a little loud at 11pm but that's probably just one group.

For Camp Bullfrog Lake: All in all a very nice place. I can’t complain about much. RV sites have electric only. Water hose at front office. Dump site available. People working there are very accommodating Plan ahead as they are booked well in advance. $56.00 a night. Nice lake! Very nice view. Families seem to love it.

For Camp Bullfrog Lake: We’ve lived in Illinois all our lives and never knew this park was here! We stayed about 4 nites facing small lake (I don’t think swimmable but they do rent small boats). We had a lovely stay with our two older pups in our Class A 33ft. Nice hiking and biking trips and you can truly hear the bull frogs croak walking to the next pond. The only negative I’d say was the amount of tics our pups got on the trails.

For Camp Bullfrog Lake: Electric sites are across the street from the tent only sites right on the lake. No water at the sites. Beautiful lake views. They have kayak rentals for $10-$15 per hour. Good fishing and hiking. Gravel sites, not very level. Very nice little campground. The staff is very helpful.Kind of pricey, but it’s Chicago. And you get free firewood the first night.

For Camp Bullfrog Lake: We stayed there for two nights.
Yes Chicago is not the best place for camping, however we found the camp Bullfrog Lake site.
Extrem expensive more than 100$ for two nights!
Facts: Electrical sites available, only for small RVs. Dump station. No fresh water! The shower and toilet are in a really bad condition, I never saw this dirty showers and restrooms on a 3 year old campground.... not useable!!
Service: I wouldn’t call it service, check in was ok, but not friendly. The system for reservation is complicated. In the second night at 8:30 pm a guy from the campground knocked at the door and said we have to leave because we booked only for one night. ( each other campground would asking if would like to stay another night because it is money!) however I have to show him that I paid two nights. He left for checking, but didn’t come back with at least a short excuses, never had this worst behavior at any campground! ( and we bin on a lot!)
By the way, the same guy was responsible for the Kajaks for the lake if we like to have one ( one hour before closing) he was obviously “ not amused “ ( not saying pissed...) about customers!
Who ever is looking for a campground at the Chicago area, if you have the chance to find another, take this, I would not recommend this campground!!

For Camp Bullfrog Lake: Wonderful place. Really narrow spots, only about 6 inches on each side. The water there is well water. Beautiful lake and surrounding area.
The dump station is not level.... it leans to the right and you will not be able to fully empty your tanks.
$40 a night is pricey for what you get, thus I am giving it three stars.
