For Crown Butte Dam: Clean. Most sites by water. One or two big enough and level enough for truck camper and short trailer.

For Crown Butte Dam: This is a great place to stop while transiting North Dakota. Beautiful dispersed camping next to a small lake right off the highway. Pretty sunset views. One thing to remember is to turn off your outside lights during the summer: there are a million bugs and every one of them found our well lit camper!
