For Bowman-Haley Lake Recreation Area: Camped here one night Mon Sep 26, 2022. Only a few other campers here. It's a COE lake but run by the county ... no personnel around. $20 for an electric site of which there are many to choose from as they have recently added clusters of sites both near the lakeshore and in upland areas, and have added new pit toilets. There is a shower, which was dirty, and a dump station and fresh water. Pretty in its own way and secluded and quiet. Easy lake access from a paved ramp and other unimproved shoreline locations.

For Bowman-Haley Lake Recreation Area: Beautiful lake, quiet rural open setting. $15/night for electric site, $5 for non-electric. Sites unshaded. One (free) shower near entrance station. Operated by Bowman county, not Corps of Engineers, so no 50% senior pass discount. Still, cheap for electric site. Decent Verizon cell signal. Lots of flies in early August. Not a bad stopping place en route through the area. Easy boating access.
