For Mineral Creek Dispersed Area: 5 star because of the beautiful setting. USFS CG, so no water, dump, etc. When I ask the app for directions, Google seemed a little crazy, so I switched to Apple & it was straight forward. You turn off the Ouray road just outside town onto a hard packed, gravel road & the 1st CG is Kendall & within a mile of the blacktop. Huge, circular, gravel, & mostly flat w lots of space.

For Mineral Creek Dispersed Area: 3 great large dispersed camp areas along South Mineral Creek. Each easily accommodates 30+ trailers, RVs and tents. All camping areas were almost completely filled by 5 pm on a Wednesday, the first week of August. The 3 areas in order are Kendall, Sultan and Golden Horn. Additional dispersed camping seems to be allowed along most of the road as you get farther in. Off road tenting sites are drop dead gorgeous.There are quite a number of pull outs along the road that could work for trailers or RVs if not already snagged by tenters.

Abq camp
For Mineral Creek Dispersed Area: Beautiful creek surrounded by stunning mountains made for an incredible camping experience! We tent camped in a dispersed spot. Silverton, the closest city, is worth seeing as well.

For Mineral Creek Dispersed Area: Awesome camping. Numerous sites throughout. We had a 35ft trailer and 35ft RV all happily located in complete privacy. Spectacular views.
