For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Camped two nights Sat-Sun Oct 14-15, 2023. First come first served this time of year, and lots of availability. Electric and water hookups on gravel pads overlooking the lake. Pretty spot and quiet. Clean pit toilets scattered throughout and a central shower house (pay).

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Well-spaced spots and open views of the dark sky (we saw a terrific light show during the August Perseid shower) were very good. We were surprised to see that showers were pay-by-the-minute ($0.50 for 3 minutes) - though flush toilets were nice. If you come from the north, DO NOT follow GPS on Route 180! The dirt road was in TERRIBLE washboard condition. There is an alternate route around the west side of the lake.

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Tatanka Sites are treed and fairly private (I don’t know why the two star review). Lovely spot on the lake. Will visit again!

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Fairly level gravel sites. Water and electric worked without problems. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area.

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Sites fairly close together. Stayed here after some rains and there was a lot of mud. Inadequate gravel for draining the pads. 30 amp didn’t work. Attendant indicated that after rain there have been problems with 30 amp and he provided ( for a deposit payment) a 50 amp converter. Bottom line- if you have a boat and want to use the lake, probably a good place. If just looking for a place while traveling may not be worth the 8 mile diversion from I90

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: Enjoyed the campground very much, once we found it. Don't trust Google Maps GPS! It leads you to Pine Haven! (2 nights)

For Tatanka - Keyhole State Park: We just stayed for one night after a visit to Devils Tower. Our site was in the trees and next to the reservoir and it was very pleasant. The layout was great with ample room between campers. I would stay here again without hesitation.
