For Mesquite - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Large park with a lot of different hiking options and difficulty levels. Each campground has a bathroom/shower building. Ours needed some deep cleaning. Sites are spaced well apart but don't expect any shade and be prepared for the heat. 2 bars ATT cell service, decent digital TV options considering location. Burn ban in effect most of the time so no outdoor grills or fires. 3-6% grade drive in the middle of the park with winding road. Two septic dump stations. Amphitheater, welcome center and trading post.

For Mesquite - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Excellent TX state park. Campgrounds are very well maintained. Water and electric only. There is a dump site in the park. The large canyon is pretty cool but the main attraction is the hiking and mountain biking trails. Have been there several times and will continue to return to ride the trails.

For Mesquite - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Enjoyed this campground. Hiking was great. Stayed in the Mesquite loop at the end of the road in Campsite number 92, very nice! 40 foot motorhome. Easy in and out. Had to do a little bit of leveling. But not bad. There’s a great scenic hiking trail that starts right next to the restroom there.
The road down into the canyon was a little steep and curvy, and I have a bit of a height issue, but it was easy for me. Large vehicles and trucks use this road frequently. No problem. Will definitely be back when in the area.

For Mesquite - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Awesome stay; lovely scenery, quite and peaceful. Wouldn’t want to be there in rainy weather though; could get real muddy real quick. The ride into and out of the canyon can be a bit hairy in a 40’ class A if your unnerved by heights.

For Mesquite - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Best campground in Palo Duro. We were in site 90 which the ranger said was the best in the park. I'd have to agree. We also had good cell service.
