For Stockade South - Custer State Park: Camped here four nights Sun-Wed Oct 2-5, 2022 w/o advanced reservations; got the only electric site available in Custer SP as they were already shutting down some of the campgrounds and what was still open was busy. Nice campground but the sites were small and not level; clean bathroom/showers. Be forewarned that there is only one dump station in all of Custer SP over near the Game Lodge ... unbelievable for such a big park with multiple campgrounds! Dumped at a local private campground, Welikeit, for $15. Stockade Lake is nice for fishing, kayaking, etc, and there's hiking available. Lot's to do and see in the Black Hills.

For Stockade South - Custer State Park: Beautiful quiet campground. Lots of shade. Bathrooms have nice hot showers and heated. They kept a floor dryer going which was very nice too. Little to no cell phone signal (AT&T). There is one phone you can use for reservations and emergencies near the restrooms.

For Stockade South - Custer State Park: We thought this campground was decent, sites were level, and we paid just over $60 for two nights, electric included.
Yes, we had to pay a $20 park fee in addition to the campsite fee, but this is a BEAUTIFUL park, and well worth
the visit, and the fee is for one week.
Showers were hot, almost too hot, and it is impossible to adjust the temperature.
The restrooms need better ventilation, but they were clean, and well attended.

For Stockade South - Custer State Park: Ok park, good space between sites. Many are not level. If your from out of state and just staying for a night it is quite expensive. Weekly day pass $22, camping $28 for electric only and no dump site at the campground. Very bureaucratic trying to book a a site, they need to lighten up.
