For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: Would pick Cypress area instead of Lakeshore next time, based on condition of access road and site levelness. Our site wasn’t horrible condition but saw several that were pretty nasty that I wouldn’t have even tried to back in. But on the whole, it was peaceful and rustic, and not bad for a short break in your travels.

PDK

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: We stayed at Lakeview Campground in Santee State Park. The campground itself is nice. We spent two nights. Sites are average size for a State Park. Most of the sites are dirt some are gravel. The sites have electric and water hookups. The road into the campground is full of holes and deeply rutted. These are very large and deep. We were concerned because our rig has low clearance. The bathrooms were clean but need repair. The floor bolts were rusted out on the toilet and it tipped when you sit down. The showers were clean but dark and there were missing floor tiles. We used our wet bath. There is a dump station. We had good cell service, AT&T

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: Nice campground. Bathrooms a little old but we used our trailer. Lots of biking. The blue bike trail had a lot of roots so a bumpy ride but you can ride around on the campground roads. Cabins looked cool along the water. A lot of boaters. Sites had trailers and boats

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: Stayed here twice before. Very well-maintained. Showers are a little bit old need to be redone but but adequate. There is Cypress campground which is newer and in very good shape paved roads gravel sites. The lakeshore campground is very old smaller sites rough dirt roads no gravel sites. Dump station at each campground. Cyprus sites are far apart typical state park. Will come back. Boat ramp down the street.

Suzie

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: Cypress view loop a little bigger n better but lakeshore has narrow rutted sand roads and tight unlevel sites. Lots of locals with boats.

Merry Pensioner

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: I was there mid October of 2018. The bathrooms were well cared for. Several of the sites were not very level and there was a lot of traffic noise. I hiked a couple of the trails and found them enjoyable. I had 3 bars and good lte with T Mobile. I would stay there again.

JB

For Lakeshore - Santee State Park: Lakefront state park very very convenient to I95 if you are passing through. 2way hookups. Typical state park with nice spacing between sites and shade. Not a lot to do there but nice place for a break for a night or two. We stayed in a 25 foot TT
