For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Excellent campground. The cement pads are level and the sights are well spaced. We moved to Turkey Pass from Little Axe. The spaces at Little Axe were small and on the point they are on top of each other. If you have a choice, choose Turkey Pass.

For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: We LOVE this area but have one child and two doodles, the stickers this past October were absolutely awful. We cut over 50 off of one of our doodles. They will need to be basically shaved just out of caution so our daughter doesn’t accidentally step on one. I completely realize this is hard to handle sometimes but given this is a family friendly place I thought I’d give warning. It is super quiet and beautiful. I hope they’re able to get this under control.

For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: I felt the need to submit another review to help others. We do love Lake Thunderbird Clear Bay Entrance staying at Turkey Pass but this time around we wanted to warn others about site 21 when you have heavy rains. Everything washing down to this site before going to the street. We had to jump from our back door to the grass just to get out and thankfully we had pulled far enough back to do that. The water flowing past our doors was a river about a foot and a half high. The picnic table and grill area is covered with mud/dirt when it dries so try to stay in one of the more elevated sites. The site next door #20 is fine. We still like it here with hiking and biking close by, a playground and Nature Center for the kids. We are retired so no kids but others would enjoy. Bathroom facilities are good. Be aware that Highway 9 has construction for several miles from the West of the park and the speed limit is 45mph through construction. The police monitor it regularly so don’t speed!

For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: We have stayed at Turkey Pass several times on our 43 ft toy hauler as our daughter and grandkids live in Norman. Sites are big and level and concrete. Bathrooms are nice and the area has lots of deer and mountain biking trails within riding distance. Close to the water ramp and the playground, hiking and nature center. There are also equestrian trails if you have horses. They have one pull through 70 ft long and four handicapped sites by the bathrooms. Weekends fill up and the vehicle parking pass comes with your reservation! It is a very nice park!

For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Be aware that Lake Thunderbird State Park has an extra $5 Day Pass and Turkey Pass Campground has an extra $8 Premium Site fee. Not sure if the other campsites have that fee. Rose Rock isn’t concrete padded so maybe not. Showers have a fee and only one was working. Turkey Pass seems to be popular so was very loud with radios, car alarms, barking dogs and trucks pulling boats too fast to the marina down the road.

For Turkey Pass - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Very clean State Park. Concrete sites with water and electric only. Dump station on site. Playground for the kids, hiking , boat dock, nature center open 9-5. 100 yards to the boat dock from our site. Great place to relax. Lots of trees, some sites more shaded than others. First come first serve.
